Our vision is to see thriving communities where people
know, worship and share Jesus Christ in their daily lives, and where everyone’s
basic material needs are consistently met, through God’s grace, by the members
of the community themselves in constructive collaboration together.
Mission
We work in partnership with the church to engage,
equip and empower believers who are gifted for leadership to embrace their
God-given role of furthering the Kingdom of God through their gifts… in their
communities and globally… improving economic/spiritual/social conditions in
their communities in the process.
Core Values
- Christ - We
seek, above all, to give glory to Jesus Christ in all we are, all we say, and all we do, because He is the reason for and foundation of our work.
(Colossians 3:17)
- Equality - We
value all human beings as equals, without partiality or paternalism, believing
we are all equally precious to God, and that we are all equally lost without
Christ. We make no distinctions according to race, culture, economic position
or social class. (1 Peter 5:5b, Romans 3:22b-23, Acts 10:34)
-
Integrity - We are committed to living with integrity…
practicing and promoting principles such as fairness, sincerity and
trustworthiness in all interactions. (1 Corinthians 15:58, James 3:16 & 17,
Proverbs 10:9, Proverbs 28:16)
We carry out our mission by:
- Promoting the spiritual, professional and personal
growth of Christian leaders (individuals and teams) in training, in mentorship, and in partnership with other organizations to
provide tools and skills in Christ-centered:
- Leadership – team-building, communication,
vision-casting, servant leadership, effective team coordination,
integrity/ethics, etc.,
- Administration – personnel development, legal
processes, financial management, recordkeeping, etc.,
- Discipleship – an essential process of doing life
together, authentically, with grace and truth, with the purpose of supporting
evangelism, intimacy, accountability, and personal growth in our relationship
with God in Jesus Christ,
- Unity - Individual Christians and churches coming together around Christ and the essentials of the Gospel, and,
- Evangelism – sharing the Gospel and making new
disciples of Christ.
- Walking alongside these leaders as they plan, initiate
and operate their various organizations.
- Promoting the growth and development of
Nicaraguan-owned “Businesses as Missions” for the purposes of: improving local economic conditions;
facilitating spiritual growth in the lives of all believers involved; and glorifying
God and spreading the Gospel.
- Partnering with, facilitating relationships between,
and providing support and/or training to Nicaraguan and foreign businesspeople,
pastors, missionaries, etc., especially in difficult matters related to
business… legalities, government red tape, negotiations, complicated
administrative issues... and other matters in which one might require outside
expertise.
- Participating additionally in the growth and
strengthening of healthy local churches by encouraging those we work with to
support their pastors in various ways, such as:
financial (Galatians 6:6); teamwork/taking leadership roles as
needed/etc.; and faithfully praying for their pastor and their pastor’s family.
